Good Progress Lately in area 3

Removing the Alder Stumps

After several years of unchecked growth these Alders get so heavy they lean until they reach the ground, then they develop new roots all along the trunk and keep on growing horizontally. When the time comes to clear them it’s quite a job pulling them out, in this case I’m trying to not disturb the roots of the nearby Birch Trees.

I’m making good progress on this area, I’ve had lots of things going on lately. I’m planning another burn pile Thursday.
